Chalkboard
Meet Gregory. At least, that's supposed to be his name. The only people who ever call him that are the ones who read it off of a file. Employers, the bank, the DMV, things like that. Anyone who knows him, even if only offhandedly, calls him Chalkboard, or Chalk for short. Why is he called Chalkboard? Read on!
Appearance
Chalk is a Argentinian black and white tegu. He's quadruped yet completely sapient. He seems to be missing the eponymous "black" from his name, however. Instead, his scales are completely white.
He's normally about five feet tall from ground to head, if he's keeping his head straight, and almost twelve feet long from head to tail.
Why Chalkboard?
Chalkboard has a very interesting biological anomaly! Beneath all those white scales, he's covered in cromatophores that are triggered by touch. When something touches him, it will cause the area that was touched to turn black. That's why his friends call him Chalk—he makes a perfect slate to doodle on! It's worth noting that sensations that he's adjusted to won't change his color. Things like clothes, though he rarely wears them, won't normally cause him to change colors.
About Chalkboard
Chalkboard is an entrepreneur. While he has very little engineering experience, he is CEO of a publically traded company, OmniPed, that specializes in prosthetics and accessability technology for quadrupeds and other non-anthropomorphic-yet-sapient animals such as himself. He's a staunch advocate and lobbyist for an inclusive society for all.
Those who are close to him know, however, that underneath his philanthropy and relentless drive for progress, he's not above using his power—financially, socially, or even on rare cases physically—to get what he wants. He treats those that work for him well and with respect and enjoys few indulgences himself; save for food, which his size necessitates in abundance.
Those who are very close to him know that underneath all of his philanthropy, idealism, and kind-heartedness, there's a certain relentlessness. Chalkboard will get what he wants. Most of the time, those are good things for society at large. But even Chalkboard is not immune to selfish desires, and if someone or something piques his interest, there are very few things that will stop him from accomplishing his goals.
